This document is prepared
pursuant to the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act, 2005. It is the
policy of Earthworks Profiling, (hereinafter referred to as the Company)
to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the safety, health and
welfare of all its employees while at work.
The Company recognises the
responsibility placed on it towards the provision of a safe and healthy
workplace, and in this regard the policies, practices and procedures required
for a safe and healthy workplace is given equal priority with all other policies,
practices and procedures of the Company.
The Company will take all
reasonable practicable steps to ensure that safe systems of work
are devised and implemented, and are utilised by all employees,
contractors, and visitors. Also, that all plant,
structures and machinery are safely designed, constructed, installed,
(insofar as the Company carries out such design, construction and
installations) stored, certified, maintained and managed in a manner,
which do not create a risk to safety or health. The Company will provide,
within reason, time, personnel and finance, in order to meet its safety,
health and welfare objectives. And, it is also the policy of the Company
to provide sufficient information, training and instruction to its
workforce in pursuance of these objectives.
The Company insists that
employees, visitors and contractors will take reasonable precautions
to avoid injury and ill-health while at work, or visiting on Company
property, and to comply with all of the Company policy as regards safety
and health. All
employees must successfully complete the “Safe Pass” course before
commencing work on site. Where applicable
employees charged with operating equipment and machinery must gain an
approved Ticket Certification in advance to operating the specific
machinery. A range of courses
including Site Inductions, Tool Box Talks, Manual Handling and Machine
Ticket are provided regularly and as required.
